1. This App Collects No Data
Depositio: Rental Proof, published by Ciphio, does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data. The app:
- has no ads,
- has no analytics or tracking of any kind,
- has no crash-reporting service,
- has no user accounts and no sign-in,
- contains no third-party SDK other than Google Play Billing, which exists only to process the optional one-time purchase.
We operate no servers for this app. There is no backend, no cloud account, and no place for us to receive your information even if we wanted it.
2. What the App Stores, and Where
Everything you record — property details, room photos, notes, recorded defects, typed and drawn signatures, and the PDF reports you generate — is written to the app's private storage on your device.
That storage is not readable by other apps, and it is not part of your shared photo gallery. Automatic backup to Google is switched off in the app, so this data is not copied to your Google account or transferred to a new device when you set one up. It exists on that one device only.
Deleting a property, a photo, or a report removes it from the device. Uninstalling the app removes all of it.
3. Camera and Photos
When you take a photo, the app hands the request to your device's own camera app and receives back the single image you confirmed. When you import a photo, Android's system photo picker lets you choose specific images and passes back only those.
The app therefore does not request permission to browse your gallery, and it never reads photos you did not select.
4. Exporting and Sharing a Report
A PDF report is generated on your device and saved to the app's private storage. Nothing is uploaded when a report is created.
Sharing a report is always your own deliberate action. When you share one — by email, messaging app, cloud storage, or anything else — the report leaves the app and is handled by whichever app or service you chose, under that provider's terms and privacy policy rather than ours. Ciphio receives no copy.
5. Purchases
The app is free to use. An optional one-time purchase unlocks unlimited full PDF exports, permanently.
That purchase is processed entirely by Google Play. Ciphio never sees or handles your payment details, card number, billing address, or Google account. The app only asks Google Play whether this device's Google account owns the unlock, and Google Play answers yes or no. Refunds are handled by Google under Google's terms.
6. Network Access
On Google Play, the app lists internet and network-state permissions. These are added by the Google Play Billing library and are used for that purpose alone: checking and completing the optional purchase.
Your photos, notes, signatures and reports are never transmitted over the network by this app. No other part of the app makes network connections.
7. Children
Depositio is a documentation tool intended for adults handling a tenancy, a handover, or a private sale. It is not directed at children and collects no data from anyone, including children.
8. Your Data Rights
Rights such as access, correction, export, and erasure normally require asking a company to act on data it holds about you. Ciphio holds no data about you from this app, so there is nothing for us to look up, correct, export, or delete.
You hold the only copy. You can view it, change it, export it as a PDF, or delete it at any time from within the app, and uninstalling removes everything at once.
9. This Website
This policy describes the Depositio app. The ciphio.com website is separate and uses standard web analytics to count page visits. Nothing on this website has access to the contents of the app on your device.
10. Policy Updates
If this policy ever changes, the change will be published on this page before it takes effect, and the date at the top will be updated.
